There are two BT features that allow you to divert calls on a single line, for multiline click here. These features are Standard Divert, and Smart Divert. Standard Divert allows you to pick up a phone on the line you want to divert and enter a code to divert the calls.

Smart Divert has all the features of Standard Divert but also lets you dial and "access number" to access your line remotely and divert from any phone or mobile within the UK, as well as most over sea's locations. It can also divert to numbers. With Smart Divert you pay for the diverted part of the call at BTs standard dialling rates.

Calls made to the access number when using the service remotely are charged at BTs standard dialling rates. For security purposes you are allocated a secure PIN number to prevent unauthorised usage.

To use Smart Divert you need a touch tone phone switched to tone dialling. Diversion to the following international destinations is unavailable: Bangladesh, Colombia, India, Kuwait, Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, and the West Indies.
